The Worship Experience
Are you experienced?

We invite you to join us for The Worship Experience.  The Worship Experience is about exploring and integrating the Good News of God’s peace, love, justice, and compassion for all people and for all the world.
Led in music by Andre Floyd and a wonderful band, and Pastor Darryl and Jessica Swanson in readings, prayers, and poetry, we explore and delve into the rich tapestry of faith.  Our worship includes a huge variety and wealth of song (we sing spirituals, gospel, hymns, newer songs, folk tunes, and even the occasional Beatles or U2 song).  Pastor Darryl uses a fun and energetic style of preaching that is not only compelling and inspirational, but empowers folks to make a positive and peaceful difference in the world.
The Worship Experience is held at 10:30 am on the first three Sundays of each month.  We hope to see you then.

Liturgical Sundays
Every fourth Sunday of the month, Community Congregational Church reaches back into our proud Protestant heritage and we worship using the liturgical tradition of the Congregational and Evangelical/Reformed churches.  We sing traditional hymns, follow a high(light) church liturgy (think Lutheran-ish!), and Pastor Darryl pulls out his robe and stole.  We are accompanied by organ music and often have an anthem from the choir or from a soloist.  We invite you to come and get in touch with your spiritual roots at this service.

            Liturgical Sunday Schedule
Sunday, September 26 – featuring the Multifaith Choir
Sunday, October 24 – an early celebration of Reformation Sunday
Sunday, November 28 – 1st Sunday of Advent
Sunday, December 26 – a service of Lessons and Carols

Meditation/Taizé
The Meditation/Taizé Service is offered every first Monday of each month at 7 pm – though we do take the summer months off.  This time together based upon the work of the Taizé community in France.  It is a quiet, reflective meditative experience that employs chants, drums, the Psalms, and simple prayers to help us connect with God, ourselves, and the human family.  The service usually lasts around 45 minutes.
